Default Armour Question - stats

What do you think is the best armour stats for a necro? I suppose it depends on builds perhaps and I'm thinking of jumping between Order Necros, SS and minion masters.

Ty in advance.

For you I'd definitely say to use the +Energy armour (Scar Pattern). Those 3 builds tend to be very ranged - You'll be outside your enemies aggro bubble half the time if you feel unsafe in PvE.

In PvP, it depends. I tend to prefer Tormentors in arena and Scars for pretty much everywhere else. If I know I'll go up against Ranger Spike a lot I'll sometimes wear Bonelace.

If I had to choose a 'best', I'd say Scars. Thank you Arena.net for Cantha. I can wear 'Scar' armour without looking like a red engine.

If you've got Factions, yes. From Voldo the Exotic.

I don't know what materials he needs for it, though. It's standard 1.5k.

Yes it would.

When was the last time you saw a smiting monk?

Serious edit: It's not actually all that bad. +20 extra damage from holy isn't so bad considering how rare it is. It's personal preference, really.

Smiters are becoming quite popular in alliance battles and the arenas. I'd advise against Tormentors. Go scars and get a set of MM for that, as well as Bloodstained Boots.
